THE FREE LIFE EVENT: WRAP UP

And just like that, the first The Free Life event is over! And wow, what a success it was. Bringing strangers together for a weekend of outdoor activities, simple living, and finding freedom talks left me, and the guests, with a very full heart. In this post I will talk through why I wanted to host an event, and what it entailed, just incase you are interested in the next one, because there 100% will be another one in the pipeline!

The Free Life is all about living life with more balance. Whether that is working remotely, working whilst you travel, trying new hobbies, or living more simply - most of us could do with getting a better work - life balance in our lives, after all, we are only on this planet once and we should be living each day happy and content. Through this blog, my mentoring, and my socials, I hope to help and inspire people to live this way, but I wanted to hold a space for those that truly wanted to escape their normal lives for a weekend and really lean into this idea. And so, The Free Life Women’s Weekender in Cornwall was born!

After weeks and weeks of organising, planning, and doing a recce, the event was finally here, and apart from a few showers and windy moments the Cornish weather played ball and we had a glorious weekend of camping, sea swimming, surfing, bbqs, bonfires, and so much more. For my first event, it couldn’t have gone better, and I’m so excited for what the future holds for The Free Life events.

So, what did we get up to?

As you can see from the photos, the weekend was jam packed! We stayed at the gorgeous Bedruthan campsite, which is between my home in Newquay, and Padstow, and sits right on the South West coastal path. The campsite not only boast incredible ocean views, is one of the best spots for star-gazing and sunsets, but also has some amenities on site which were perfect for hosting this kind of event, including Stacks by the Sea which was wood-fired pizza and live music, a coffee truck, a sauna and ice plunge, plus a tipi that I hired to host yoga, Finding Freedom workshops, as well as being a great place for guests to have some down time and relax. It was a great base for the weekend, and from here we did a coastal walk to Porthcothan beach, passing the infamous view of Bedruthan on the way. We also ventured over to nearby Watergate - one of my favourite places in Cornwall - for a surf lesson and the final lunch, at Wax.

All in all, it was a fantastic weekend of adventure, connection, and back-to-basics living, and I hope the women who joined me took value from the event. I know I certainly did. Keep your eyes peeled for more information on my next The Free Life event here, and check out what the girls had to say about their experience.

A huge thank you to the brands who collaborated with me on the event, and contributed to the goody bags for the girls - safe to say they went down a treat, including the best collagen from Kollo Health, gorgeous personalised bracelets from Pearl and Sand, yummy snacks from Fuel10k, and my favourite caca from Bare Cacao.
